Guidelines for the VietnamGuidebook Description of the assignment This whole class assignment is aimed atimproving class teamwork and co-operation. Each class will produce a guidebookfor tourists visiting Vietnam.Students will work in
pairs tocompile information about one of the cities listed in the guideline. A group of4 students (
editorial team) will beresponsible to write a general description of Vietnam andmake the final edition of the work of the whole class and publish(print) the class guidebook. The class has to hand in the guide book on
Day 10. No excuses for late work willbe accepted.
Northern Vietnam: Hanoi,Lang Son, Son La, Ha Long, Hai Phong, Hoa Binh, Ninh Binh, Vinh
Central Vietnam: Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, Buon MaThuot, Nha Trang, Da Lat

Destination Vietnam: Write a general description of Vietnam including usefulinformation for tourists: geography, history, politics, population, religions,culture, tourist entry and exit procedures, language, public holidays, airports, currency, climate etc-

Each city: Write a city guide for tourists to the city: include ageneral description (location, history, population, climate, special features),special foods & drinks, things to see & do, etc –

4 pages*** Inserting photos appropriatelyis encouraged*** Each pair is responsible forcompiling and editing their own work to a standard ready for publishing. Thisinformation (
soft copies) is sent tothe editorial team. Each class sets their own deadline for students to completethe paired tasks (latest on Day 9). The quality of the finished guidebook willdepend on the time the editorial team spend preparing the final copy of theguidebook. The editorial team combines the pairs’ available work to compile thefinal edition on the class’s supposed date. The
pair of late handing in must be noted down to inform the teacherlater and
failed. If all pair workis handed in on time, but the editorial team hands in later than Day 10, the
editorial group will be failed.
